Great app thus far! A couple of suggestions (I’m using Android 2.1 for reference): deal with integration of Facebook photos. Right now if the contact is using a synced Facebook photo, the widget shows no photo, even if there’s another one linked to the contact via google. Also, would like to see a skin with a thinner border so it looks less bulky. Finally, and this may just be my phone, if you click a contact with no default action set, it takes a LONG time for the quick contacts options to pop up.

Sorry, that this answer took so long. I had to focus on job and university the last couple of weeks. 😦
Thanks for your suggestions! Yes, my app doesn’t like contacts that have been synced with Facebook. I gave up solving this until I get an official update for my HTC Magic to Android 2.x (which should come in the next weeks). Without a real 2.x – device I don’t see a chance to solve this issue. In the meantime you can try the free app syncmypix. After running it the pictures should be displayed.

The thinner border… ok, good idea 🙂

Slow popup: That’s not a problem of your phone, that’s a general problem on all devices with Android 1.6+ (on 1.5 it’s much faster). Thanks for pointing me to this problem! A little workaround for this issue: Click on one of the contacts and then close the quick contacts popup by pressing the back button (not the home button!). Afterwards the quick options popup should be opening much faster, as long as you always close the dialog with the back button. Sounds silly, but that’s the way it *gg*

I like this app. I made a demo video while testing out a screen capture app. Check it out. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4TCPG1iz2xg

Love the app, few minor issues and one major issue.

Major issue: Rebooting the phone (Sprint HTC Hero) running version 1.56.651.2 of Android, your app just tries to refresh the contacts information, in a endless loop keeping my phone awake time at 100% and I have to remove all the widgets and create new ones all over again.

Minor issues: I can’t create a new widget with the same name, as I don’t know where I can retrieve the ones already created to be placed back on my page. See major issue as why I have to remake new widgets.

Any help would be grateful, I hate to get my money back, I love the app.

Another minor issue is, when I go to create a new widget and choose extend group, the widget is placed on the page, with no option to edit the contact.

In your screenshots, you show the ability to change the “star button” to a different graphic. How do you do this?

  6. Stefano says:

Hey, great app.! Also working with synched pics (dunno if it actually sync them).

Just two things on my HTC Desire:
    1. sometimes clicking on the picture nothing happens.. seems a random problem..
    2. is it possible to directly go into contact info instead of having to click on the popup box ?

    Thanks 🙂

I like it, however the Call-List Widget crashes constantly.

Worked great on Sprint Hero! Not working right on HTC EVO. Waiting on update. Keep up the good work.
